Job Description:
Lower is seeking an Associate General Counsel to join our Legal Team. In this role, you will be reporting to the EVP, General Counsel and will have an opportunity to help with our high volume of legal matters including drafting legal documents, assisting with litigation discovery process, reviewing vendor agreements and performing legal research.
What you’ll do:
You will offer the company legal advice in a variety of areas
You will assist with litigation discovery process by administering depositions, issuing interrogatories, and reviewing documents
You will review and draft legal documents, including contracts
You will monitor activities for compliance issues
You will communicate with stakeholders on legal matters
You will perform legal research
Who you are:
You have 1+ years of in-house corporate experience, preferably focused on financial regulation, contract and employment law.
You ideally have prior mortgage or financial institution experience
You have a J.D. from an accredited Law School and an active law license
You have a strong attention to detail and are an excellent communicator with top notch research skills.
You have excellent observation and critical thinking abilities
