Xcaliber International, Ltd., L.L.C. is a privately-owned tobacco product manufacturer located in Pryor, Oklahoma. Founded in 2000, Xcaliber International manufactures value-priced cigarettes with an emphasis on quality and state-of-the-art production methods. The 200,000+ square foot production facility in Pryor, Oklahoma is home to administrative offices and production space, featuring high-speed combination production lines, and over 100,000 square feet of automated warehouse space and freight-handling facilities. 


Xcaliber is seeking a full-time Assistant General Counsel for its Tulsa office. Periodic travel may be necessary for assignments at Xcaliber's Pryor, Oklahoma, manufacturing facility. The Assistant General Counsel will assist the corporation's in-house legal department in all facets of corporate law, including regulatory submissions to federal and state agencies and document management. The applicant must have experience using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. The applicant must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and must demonstrate an attention to detail. Thorough documentation and accurate, timely filings are an essential function of the position.


Essential Functions:

  • Assist in-house legal department in all facets of corporate law
  • Prepare corporate filings for Secretaries of State
  • Prepare fire safe cigarette submissions for state Fire Marshals
  • Prepare licensing applications for state Departments of Revenue
  • Prepare Quarterly and Annual Tobacco Product Manufacturer Certifications for submission to state Attorneys General
  • Assist with regulatory processes and submissions to the United State Food and Drug Administration
  • Assist with submissions to the Federal Trade Commission
  • Assist with submissions and various applications to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives
  • Assist with legal research and developing legal research trends, including those related to artificial intelligence
  • Assist in the implementation of digital record keeping, including the archiving of historical data
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school and a current Attorney's License from the highest court of the state issuing such a license
  • Experience in the corporate field is a plus
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is required
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must demonstrate an attention to detail
