Primary Purpose:
Advocate Health seeks an experienced and proactive attorney to join the Advocate Health Legal Department as Associate General Counsel with a focus on Governance and Transactions. This position reports directly to the VP/Managing Counsel of the Governance and Transactions Practice Group within the Legal Department. The position will provide advice and counsel to the Advocate Health enterprise related tocorporate and transactional activities including, but not limited to, corporate governance matters, transactions (mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, affiliations, strategic collaborations), bond financings, tax matters, and other strategic system initiatives. The position will also advise on clinical contracts and regulatory matters.
Major Responsibilities:
Education Requirements:
Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited school of law.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Licensed to practice law in at least one state in the United States.
Professional Experience Requirements:
3-6 years of relevant experience in a corporate/transactional practice in a law firm or as in-house counsel with health law experience preferred.
