General Counsel

RightWorks is hiring a General Counsel for a multi-billion dollar private equity group in the Fort Worth Region. Relocation Assistance is provided.

We are seeking the best & brightest for a role with a leading Private Equity / Hedge Fund / Family Office near Fort Worth. We would ideally like someone from either top firms or in-house counsel. Strong academic performance is a must - ideal candidate will either come from a top 25 law school with high performance, or a Top 10 Texas School on either Law Review or Order of the Coif.

Compensation potential between $400 & 750k depending on qualifications. (Typically willing to go 25-40% over market pay rate for the right person).

We are seeking a high-performing legal professional with 3–6 years of experience to join a collaborative legal and strategic advisory team within a fast-paced, multi-asset investment firm. This role offers broad exposure across the firm’s operations, investment strategies, and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Structure, negotiate, and implement a wide range of investment transactions, including public securities, bank loans, swaps, real estate, aviation, and private markets (U.S. and international).
• Draft and manage complex financing agreements (prime brokerage, ISDA, securities lending, repo, and credit facilities).
• Partner on regulatory and compliance initiatives across multiple fund structures.
• Collaborate with and oversee external counsel on M&A, securities, tax, employment, and litigation matters.
• Support trust, estate, and advanced tax planning for firm leadership.

Ideal Candidate:

• 3–6 years at a top-tier law firm or in-house legal team.
• Strong academic credentials and a consistent record of excellence.
• Proven ability to work across departments and interface with senior executives.
• Must submit LSAT, SAT/ACT scores, and academic transcripts if available.
